Formula One on Speed TV Abroad
As I know many of you like to use Identity Cloaker to watch the Formula One racing, well the sessions such as Practice 1,2,3 which are often not shown on local TV, I just thought I would mention an alternative to BBC F1 Online abroad. Those of you in the USA, or using a2bTV US TV slingbox service, will know that US coverage of F1 racing is done by Speed TV. They use different commentators to the UK coverage but the pictures are 99% the same as they use the same feeds. Now Speed TV ddon'tshow everything on TV, and the bits they don't show they stream Live online!
Now for those of us in Australia this is really useful, as firstly our local TV never shows any of the practice sessions, and secondly IDC works VERY fast from Australia to the USA.
So if you have trouble watching BBC F1 Online abroad why not give Speed TV a go, tonight they will be showing the Brazilian first practice session.
They have a number of F1 related programs about latest F1 news, and of course other forms of motor sport too.
a2bTV Discount for US Streaming TV
Long before I used Identity Cloaker, in fact perhaps even before the software was written, I was a user of a2bTV. Now back then the service they offered was based on DirecTV™, which was really good but tended to be a bit expensive. Now they have changed over to Time Warner Cable™ the prices have come down a bit, sure we are talking quite a lot more than using Identity Cloaker but you are getting quite a bit more for your money!
With Identity Cloaker you will be used to getting the free US channels, but with a2bTV you get just about ALL US channels streamed to your anywhere in the world, with a monthly fee of $99-169. The stream quality is very high as you get dedicated bandwidth from their datacentre, the default stream is 2mbit and that is all I ever used. However you can upgrade to higher bitrates if you want, useful for HD sports and movies, all the way up to 6mbit/s. You can check your speed to the a2bTV servers with their simple utility, I get 3.53mbit/s here in Australia which is easily more than enough!
Now the most important part, discounts! Well they dont offer discounts to everybody, but if you are a member of the US military mention this site and the fact you are in the military when you talk with the sale representatives and they can offer your some pretty good military discounts.
They have a free 1 hour preview you can request, just start a live chat and let them know getTVabroad sent you or click 'Demo Now' and they will hook you up and show you how it all works. The guys and girls there will also answer any questions you may have about their service, I found them to be very helpful when I was setting it up for myself.
