Identity Cloaker 2
As some of you will know Identity Cloaker 2 has been in the works for well over a year now, in fact several of you have had the pleasure of using it for several months during the testing phase.
The good news is we are getting closer and close to the launch of IDC2, and for those who have never used it you are in for a treat. Substantially faster than the original version, we have even been streaming HD videos from the UK all the way to Australia with it, and with a nice update to the user interface (don’t worry you will know how to work it right out of the box, it has just been made to look nicer). Identity Cloaker 2 is definately a winner when it comes to watching UK TV abroad, or of course just about any TV you might want to watch as its advanced new methods even let you view US TV without having to run a VPN!
Of course we shall be updating all the videos here as soon as it is released to show you these great new features and massively improved performance.
Until then you can of course use our trusted favourite Identity Cloaker ‘original flavour’ to get all your UK TV programs abroad.
Better Streaming for BBC iPlayer Abroad
Some good news for those of you who like to watch BBC iPlayer Abroad as the software I always recomend, Identity Cloaker, is going to have a nice upgrade soon!
As many of you know Identity Cloaker is mainly designed as a security application, the fact it allows us to watch TV abroad is just an added bonus! However all those technologies used to secure the information does slow things down a little bit, in particular the authors have discovered some ISPs are actively slowing down SSH (encrypted) traffic. This seems to be particuarly common in Australia, I have noticed that connections on Dodo seem to suffer this way.
Anyway in an upcoming version you will have the option to turn off SSH, and this will speed things up a huge amount if you are on such a restricted service. I have been allowed to test the service witout SSH and it works really well!
