BBC Trust Turns Down iPlayer Plan
The BBC has had it’s plans for a more integrated UK Online TV system shelved for now, siting reason of complexity and lack of value.
However this will currently have no impact on us who watch BBC iPlayer abroad, or any of the other UK channels as you can still view them all just the same as before.
The proposals by the BBC would allow other TV providers to use the iPlayer technology to transmit their own channels online. The BBC Trust are currently looking at alternative proposals to reach the same goals, if they get accepted then in the future we could have a wealth of extra UK channels to view.

It has been brought to my attention that there is no way for me to inform you about changes in the world of online TV, sure I can update my pages (and do) but its really hard for you guys to see a small change if it’s somewhere on a huge page of text!
So I have simply added this small blog/news section where I can make a quick not of any changes to IDC (that’s Identity Cloaker BTW), watching BBC iPlayer Abroad, listening to Pandora etc.
If any of you guys (and gals) have problems with using IDC you can ask me a question or two, I might even know the answer!
